Staff notes or western music notes have its timing and symbol changes according the time taken by a particular note in playing any song. It the quality of Staff notation writing. It must be learnt by musicians:
one note can be vibrated up to 8 beats or Matra sign will be as shown below. It will cover two measures of 4 beats. measures are verticle lines. here one measure is of 4/4 beat. It means in 4 beat time 4 beat notes shall come. In this case Kaharwa taal will be played on dholak etc.
If it is 3/4 then its meaning will be in 4 beat time or measure 3 notes will be played in that case Dadra taal will be played

If a dot is put after the sign of note timing increases half of the note timing:
As if a note is of one beat and a dot is put after it it means 1& 1/2 or 1.5 beat timing will it vibrate.
if a note is of two beat and a dot is put after it, It means two and half of 2 beat means +one beat timing total 3 beats timing will be taken to vibrate the note.
one note can be vibrated up to 6 beat or six Matra
one note can be vibrated up to 1.5 beat or 1.5 Matra
one note can be vibrated up to 3/4 beat or 3/4 Matra
